Terms & Conditions
Last reviewed: 12 March 2026. These terms govern any plumbing or related work commissioned from Ekovault Sustainable Plumbing Sdn Bhd.
1. Definitions
“The Company”, “we”, “us” means Ekovault Sustainable Plumbing Sdn Bhd, Company Reg. 1623085-V, of Lot 32, Jalan SS22/19, Damansara Jaya, 47400 Petaling Jaya. “The Client”, “you” means the person or entity commissioning the work. “Quotation” means the written estimate of cost issued by us before work begins. “Site” means the address at which the work is to be carried out.
2. Quotations
Quotations are written, itemised by parts and labour, and valid for thirty (30) days from issue. A quotation becomes binding once you confirm it in writing — by signed paper copy, WhatsApp acknowledgement, or replying to our quote email with explicit acceptance. Verbal acceptance alone does not start the job.
Surveys and diagnostic visits are chargeable separately, at the rate stated on the quotation for that visit. Where a leak survey leads directly to a repair within fourteen days, the survey fee is credited against the repair invoice. Where it does not, the survey fee stands.
3. Variations
If, during the work, we discover conditions that were not visible at survey — concealed corrosion, slab-embedded pipe runs of unexpected age, structural issues exposed during strip-out — work pauses, you receive photographs and a revised written quotation, and the job resumes only with your written approval of the variation. We never invoice for variations that have not been explicitly accepted.
4. Payment
Standard residential work: 100% on completion. Larger projects (> RM 8,000): 30% deposit on confirmation, 40% on rough-in completion, 30% on final sign-off. Commercial retainers: invoiced quarterly in advance.
Accepted payment methods: cash, online bank transfer (Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB), DuitNow QR. Cards by prior arrangement — a 2.5% processing fee applies. Cheques are not accepted.
Tax invoices are issued for every job exceeding RM 200 in value. SST is charged where applicable.
5. Workmanship warranty
We warrant our workmanship for twelve (12) months from completion. Where a workmanship defect emerges in this period, we’ll return to fix it at our cost during normal working hours. The warranty does not cover (a) damage caused by misuse, freezing, or third-party tampering; (b) deterioration of parts beyond their manufacturer’s warranty period; (c) issues with components supplied by the Client rather than by us.
6. Parts warranty
Manufacturer warranties on parts — typically 2–5 years on water heaters, mixer taps and WCs — are passed through to you. Original warranty paperwork is handed over on completion. Where we supplied the unit, we’ll handle warranty registration on your behalf.
7. Client responsibilities
You agree to provide reasonable access to the work site during agreed visiting hours, to disclose any known structural or services issues at survey, and not to interfere with active work in progress. Where we’re working in a tenanted property, you confirm you have the authority to commission the work.
8. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any single job is capped at the invoiced value of that job. We carry public-liability insurance for incidental damage caused during work; claims under this insurance follow the insurer’s normal process. We are not liable for consequential losses (lost rental income, lost business revenue, alternative-accommodation costs) save where these have been agreed in writing in advance.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel a booked job up to 24 hours before the scheduled visit at no charge. Cancellations inside 24 hours incur a callout fee of RM 80 to cover scheduled-time and lost-revenue cost. Where work has already commenced (parts ordered, strip-out begun) the cancellation cost reflects the work completed and materials committed, itemised and explained.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes that cannot be resolved between us are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts in Petaling Jaya.
